Welcome to my website!

My name is Blane Rhoads. In 2013 I completed my PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. I am originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and I did my undergraduate work in mechanical engineering and applied mathematics at the University of Tulsa. During my years as a student, teaching assistant, and research assistant, I’ve also benefited from the experience of having several paid internships, as detailed in my resume, and I’ve often worked part time as a private tutor.

The primary purpose of this website is to provide an overview of my work and research interests, for potential employers, colleagues, friends, and myself.

The secondary purpose of this website is to share some of my personal interests and hobbies, and perhaps dabble in blogging.
